NATHALIE DU PASQUIER

NATHALIE DU PASQUIER is a French artist and designer born in Bordeaux in 1957. Since 1979, she has lived and worked in Milan, where she co-founded the famous Memphis group with Ettore Sottsass and others, revolutionizing 1980s design with her bold patterns and distinctive geometric shapes. During this period, Du Pasquier created numerous textiles, furniture, and design objects that have become iconic.

In the 1990s, Nathalie chose to devote herself primarily to painting. Her works range from still life paintings to three-dimensional installations, often made from everyday materials and handmade wooden structures. Her art explores the relationship between two- and three-dimensional objects, blurring the boundaries between painting and sculpture.

In addition to painting, Nathalie Du Pasquier has continued to work in the field of design, collaborating with luxury brands such as Hermès and Valentino, and designing textiles and other products. Her works have been exhibited in numerous international museums and galleries, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Du Pasquier has also published several books and catalogs of his work, and his recent exhibitions include shows in London, Milan, Paris, and other European cities. Her ability to constantly reinvent her visual language makes her an influential and innovative figure in the contemporary art scene.
