RICCARDO NANNINI

RICCARDO NANNINI was born in 1980 in Grosseto, Italy. He currently lives and works between Barcelona and southern Tuscany.
After graduating in Industrial Design from the Polytechnic University of Milan and gaining early experience in the fashion world, he began an independent artistic path, finding in painting a medium that unites design and intuition. From this dual foundation — rational and empirical — arises a method where formal construction becomes narrative, and visual clarity turns into a field of tension, a space where order gives way to doubt.
His painting belongs to narrative figuration and observes everyday life as a silent stage where apparent balance reveals subtle dissonances. Through flat light, sharp contours, and a saturated yet restrained palette, Nannini explores normality as a perceptual threshold — a fragile space between form and instability. Irony, discreet yet analytical, becomes a tool of reading that transforms the ordinary into narrative. Over time, his research has defined a distinctive language in which rigor and ambiguity, balance and unease coexist — a vision that has found recognition in international contexts across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
