NICOLA CAREDDA

NICOLA CAREDDA was born in Cagliari in 1981. He currently lives and works in Milan. A graduate in painting from the Sassari Academy of Fine Arts, Caredda is known for his dreamlike works that mix eroded landscapes and textures with playful elements of pop culture and mystical iconography.
Caredda’s works are characterized by a visionary pictorial language in which reality and imagination merge to create scenes dense with meaning. He uses acrylic on canvas to bring to life surreal worlds that explore themes such as fear and escape from reality. His art is an attempt to exorcise his own fears and offer the public an escape from the everyday.
Caredda has exhibited his work in numerous galleries both in Italy and abroad. His most significant solo exhibitions include Don’t Trust Anyone Over 30 and God Save My Sweet Pusher at Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles, Answer42 at Galleria Marconi in Cupra Marittima and Filling In at Studio d’Arte Cannaviello in Milan. He has also participated in several major group exhibitions, such as Eccentrici, Apocalittici, Pop at the MART Museum in Rovereto.
