DAPHNE CHRISTOFOROU
DAPHNE CHRISTOFOROU was born in 1987 in Nicosia (Cyprus), where she currently lives and works.
She is a visual artist with a focus on ceramics and painting. In 2015 she graduated from the Royal College of Art in London and during her studies she was student of the year, as an illustrator, at the V&A and received an Adobe Achievement Award in Los Angeles.
Her work is narrative in nature and revolves around Greek myths, interaction and behaviour. Producing art is both transformative and reassuring for her, not only because of the enjoyable process of generating pictorial representations, but also because of the possibility of communicating inner states through narrative work.
The artist has been involved in several group shows, such as Collect Fair at the Saatchi Gallery in London (2018) and A Brush Of Ceramics at the Schönfeld Gallery in Brussels (2024). Her work has also been exhibited at the British Council Beijing (2015); she recently participated in the group show 3024 La Exposición Que Llegó Del Futuro at the Factory of Dreams in Madrid (2024).
