ANDREA SALVINO

Andrea Salvino, was born in Rome in 1969. His work is distinguished by a strong connection to the history, politics and iconography of the 20th century. After completing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 1993, he began a career that led him to live and work between Rome and Berlin.

Salvino has established himself on the international scene thanks to his ability to mix different styles and techniques, often using painting, drawing and installations to explore complex and provocative themes. His works draw inspiration from a wide range of sources, including historical events, political symbols and film references, which are reworked in a contemporary key to offer a sharp critique of society.

The artist has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions, exhibiting in major institutions such as MACRO in Rome, Castello di Rivoli in Turin, and Palazzo Ducale in Genoa. His participation in the Venice Biennale and other prestigious international exhibitions has solidified his reputation as an artist capable of tackling complex issues with an original and incisive vision.
