MIRO ZAGNOLI
MIRO ZAGNOLI was born in Reggio Emilia in 1952. He currently lives and works in Milan.
He began taking his first photographs in the late 1970s. His early work is characterized by a hybrid encounter between photography and different media such as print and television. In the 1980s, he oriented his interest toward the artificial and object world, which led him to collaborate intensively with designers, companies and magazines in the field of design.
Zagnoli has collaborated with numerous well-known design companies and brands, including Absolut Vodka, Alessi, Artemide, Cassina, and many others. These collaborations have seen him contribute to the transformation of visual language in the design industry. In parallel, he has developed personal artistic research, exhibiting the results in group and solo exhibitions.
Miro Zagnoli’s work explores the interaction with the artificial world and the dialogue between visual media, contributing to the creation of a unique visual language in contemporary design. He has participated in numerous university workshops and seminars, sharing his experience and expertise with students and young artists.
In addition to his individual career, Miro is part of a family of artists, including his ex-wife Emi Ligabue and daughters Olimpia and Emilia, who work in illustration and costume design, respectively.
